We are hopeful our Club members will be allowed to help with the actual home builds this year. If we are allowed to help in person, volunteer sign ups will be online through the Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties website.
In the meantime, we are thrilled to support this effort once again through monetary donations. Homes built for women by women.
Last year despite the negative impact of COVID-19, Habitat staff and three female homeowners were able to continue working to complete construction on and move into brand new homes. Thanks to the help of our FMWCC team and other women and businesses across Lee County, Habitat for Humanity Lee County raised the most money ever, closing the Women Build 2020 campaign at $353, 188. This fundraising provided 97 percent of the cost to build all three homes for Sophia, Christina, and Crystal and together with their families they are now enjoying the comforts of HOME!
