COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Every year our primary outreach events are creating Holiday House and decorating for the Edison Pageant of Light's Coronation Ball but we serve our community in other ways as well. Each month we meet, our club aids a different organization chosen by our sitting president. For the 2020-2021 year we are proud to support the following causes.
October
The Heights Foundation School Success Program - We are proud to support the community efforts provided by the Heights Foundation with monetary donations. This month we will specifically focus on the School Success Program which enriches the lives of over 450 area Heights kids.
November
Gulf Coast Humane Society's Senior Dog program - at our meeting this month we are pleased to collect blankets, toys, and food for the senior dogs awaiting adoption. Monetary donations are welcome as well!
March
Better Together - Empowering People Through Better Families and Better Jobs. Since 2015, Better Together served more than 2,750 children and 28,000 job seekers through two highly successful programs: Better Families and Better Jobs. By empowering people who truly want to help themselves, Better Together is poised to prevent child abuse and neglect before it happens and match employers to employees who simply need a hand up or second chance. Habitat for Humanity Women Build - Homes built for women by women. Monetary donations will be collected at our Pink Tea and are being accepted online. Visit our Women Build page here for more information.
